It will also host broadcast the FIA European Rallycross Championship
Aurora has been named the host broadcast partner for the 2025 FIA World Rallycross Championship (WorldRX) and FIA European Rallycross Championship (EuroRX), Broadcast Sport can reveal.
The production company will deliver the global host broadcast feed, highlights programming, features, and digital content for the season’s events, joining after the FIA’s decision to bring the championships in-house. The coverage will include drone cameras, onboard feeds, data-led graphics, and editorial packaging, aiming to combine live broadcast with digital-first content and social storytelling.
The 2025 World Rallycross season features six events across Europe and the Middle East, and the opening round took place last weekend in Portugal, with a capacity crowd of over 10,000 fans packing out the Lousada International Circuit.
Matt Beal, chief broadcast officer at Aurora, said: “The FIA World Rallycross Championship has always had the raw ingredients of a standout motorsport series – unpredictable racing, bold characters, and a passionate fanbase. With the FIA now leading its future direction, we’re excited to help evolve the Championship into a world-class live and digital product, built for modern fans and platforms.”
Emilia Abel, FIA road sport director, said: “We are fully committed to taking the FIA World and European Rallycross Championships to the next level – expanding its global reach and delivering innovative and exciting formats for drivers, teams, commercial partners, and crucially, the fans. We’re delighted to partner with Aurora, whose expertise in broadcast innovation and storytelling will be instrumental in delivering this vision.”
